Spring Break

I love Spring Break. March in Mesa is the best time of year.
What did we do all week, well here it is.

  • Ranch in Pinedale. I love that my brother's wife's family has the Ranch, and I love that we get invited to go. We hung out, went on a hike, played cards, and just enjoyed being together as family.

  • Swimming. I will only swim in March if the pool is heated and it was. The kids all love the water and maybe Kate will be swimming by the end of summer, ya right.

  • Zoo. We got up and were there by 8am. The animals were so active and we got to see the tiger and the lion actually move. Usually the animals are hot and sleeping by the time we get there, but this time they were all up and moving around.

We had a great spring break and Jack suffered from spring breakitis for a week after he went back to school. He fought me every morning when it was time to get ready for school.

Big Winner

I just have to brag. Yesterday, we all went to a Cubs spring training game. We had great seats, in the shade, and enjoyed time outside with family. But what really made the game great was I won. I won a 60 minute facial and a 60 minute massage from Scottdale Heathcare Essential Touch. All because I was sitting in section 212, row AA, seat 10.
Yea, Go Me I can't wait to be pampered!!!!

Grand Canyon

In just under six months I will be done hiking the Grand Canyon and doing the Grand Canyon Shuffle. I have done this hike two years now and I don't know why I am doing it again. As I am climbing out of the Canyon and hating the giant hole in the ground I swear I am not going to hike it again. But then my dad starts making reservations and I only remember the beauty not the pain, so I go. This year my goal is to make it out in 10 hours. So right now as I am writing I should be out running. I guess this is why I hike the Canyon, it keeps me working out.

Lehi Days

Lehi Days has been a tradition since before Ryan and I got married. I remember going when I was younger and so does Ryan. Now we get to take our kids and they love it. I love it too because I get to be outside and enjoy the beautiful March Mesa weather.
This year Jack got to ride a sheep and chase the chicken and both Jack and Jay got to ride a horse.
I know my kids had fun because when I was getting Jack ready for bed he was sad that he couldn't put his cowboy clothes back on and be a real cowboy.

"Cowboys don't bathe they just dust off."

Where did the chicken go?

New blogger

I am trying out blogging for the first time and I am already ignoring my children. Hopefully I can figure out how this works. Stayed tuned for some great posts. Ha Ha Ha!!!

Rivals

Can these two ever be friends? One day I met my sister at the park and this is how our boys were dressed. Mine, head to toe ASU, hers head to toe UofA. I often wonder how this happened. When did my sister convert to UofA and allow her children to follow?

This rival has only gotten bigger since ASU beat UofA three times this season in basketball but then UofA made it to the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. Dang Devils!!! I guess now all we can hope for is a repeat of the girls softball championship and the baseball team doing something this year. Go Sun Devils!!!
