Jack

Jack is becoming quite the baseball player. He says he wants to be a baseball player when he grows up. He has a ways to go but I don't want to crush his dream so I let him play and practice. He is playing minors for the first time and the games get really intense. He has only lost once, to a team who had an incredible pitcher. Jack said "that guy is fast." He was a good pitcher but I think Jack's team is good and it has been fun watching a team who can stop the ball and throw guys out at first. The playoffs should be fun. I can't wait to see what Jack's team does.
On another note, Jack is taking the AIMS test this week and I asked him how he did. His response was priceless so I need to write it down. Here is is and I laughed when he answered me.  "I think I did pretty good." (about a 30 second pause) "I did guess on a lot of the answers but the teacher told me if I didn't know then I should just guess because most of the time you get the answer right when you guess." I hope he guessed good and didn't just make patterns with his answers. Jack is doing better in school but he would rather be outside playing than doing school work. Can you blame the kid?

Easter

Easter was very low key this year. We were out of town for my family party and then had a baptism during Ryan's family party so all we had were ourselves. It was good though. On Friday after swimming we colored Easter Eggs. My kids, especially Jay, love to color eggs. I don't really enjoy it all that much but it is a necessary thing to do so we do it. Sunday morning the kids were so excited to get up and see what the Easter Bunny had brought. We actually had the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy come Saturday night. My kids thought that was so cool. Anyway back to Easter morning. The kids woke up around 7 and come and got me and Ryan then we went out to the kitchen and they had got swimsuits, towels and dive sticks in their Easter baskets and some candy. They were happy then off they went to find the eggs. They could hide eggs all day long if I let them. But after dropping an egg under the trampoline and losing one in the house we were done hiding eggs then just hung out until church started. Church was good and I love when I am reminded of the goodness of people and the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. Whenever I don't feel like going to church I go and I am so uplifted. That is how Easter was and I know our Savior lives and that my family is forever. I am grateful for this knowledge.

My kids all dressed up for Easter. Kate always get something new and the boys not so much.
