Prescott Valley

While the boys were at basketball camp all day, me and Kate got to hang with the Platts all day. We had a great time. I'm excited for my boys to go to camp next year so I can hang out again.

Joe and Cassie came up for one day and we went to Watson Lake to kayak. We love being on the lake and hanging with all the girls.

Another day we went to Heritage Park Zoo. It was fun. The bear was great. He evened peed in front of us. The rattlesnake was shaking it's rattle and the girls love being together. I'm glad we went.
Another day we went to Jerome, AZ. I have wanted to go there for a while. Now I've been and I don't need to go back. We went to a "gold mine" which was really a junk yard but the girls didn't seem to mind. We walked around, fed the donkey, got scared by the dummy in the bathroom, fed birds and just had a good time.

Jack & Jay's basketball camp

Jack and Jay got to go to Prescott and do Mountain View's basketball camp. Jack stayed in the dorms with all these boys and Jay stayed with me at Karrie's. It was a little bit scary to leave Jack alone for a week but since I was taking Jay to the camp daily I got to check up on Jack. The boys had a good time and wanting to go back next year. Jay especially wants to go and stay in the dorms.

New Slide

We invested in a new slide for our pool and it has been great. The kids are entertained for hours and it makes the summers not so bad. The neighbor kids are happy and I love having kids at my house. Hopefully the slide continues to entertain.

Jay is nine

It's crazy to me how old my children are getting. Jay is now nine. How is this happening?
Jay got to celebrate his birthday in San Fran. I think he enjoyed it. This boy of mine is one of a kind. He loves chicken nuggets/tenders and ranks them according to goodness. Right now Raising Canes is in the lead. He is so sweet when he wants to be but when he is hungry he gets a little bit angry. As a result I carry fruit snacks in my purse all the time. He is one smart boy and enjoys learning and reading. He loves to laugh and play sports. He is not afraid to try new things but is afraid to try new foods. He is my Jay McRae and I love him so much.

Jay asked for a pie to the face for his birthday. I'm glad Rachelle and Rhett remembered this and came through with it.

San Francisco

Last Stop, San Francisco

We needed to cut our time in San Francisco short because of Grandma Adam's funeral. We are so grateful that there was a flight that got us in on time and that Southwest Airlines was willing to change our flight.

We had a great time in San Fran. I think we saw all that we needed to see in one day. The kids were great and enjoyed seeing so many different places and things. Jay even tried clam chowder.

Boat ride around San Fran. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge and past Alcatraz. We wanted to tour Alcatraz but didn't have time. The next best thing was taking a boat by it. We enjoyed the ride but it was really cold.

Out and about in San Fran. The kids loved all the street performers. The best one was a man who had a branch and pretend to be a bush and would sit and scare people as they walked by. We watched him forever. Plus the guy on the ladder was really cool to watch too.

We even made it to a Giants game. At&t park is a really cool ballpark. It sits right on the water and the San Fran fans are great. The Giants won the game and even won the World Series in 2014. We can say we saw the World Series winners play.

Before the game the boys wanted to make some money so they put their hat on the ground and started to dance. I was a little bit embarrassed but they were having a ball. They didn't get any money but they did get some good laughs.

San Francisco Strawberries were the best. We bought these off a vendor on the street and the kids ate them up. Especially Kate.

We got to take a cable car ride. It really is an experience that I'm glad we got to do. We had a great time in San Fran and I hope the kids remember all this.

Muir Woods

Third Stop, Muir Woods

Muir Woods was incredible. I had heard great things about it and really wanted to make it work in our agenda. I am so glad we were able to go. It was so peaceful and quiet. I am always amazed at the creation of the world. There is so much diversity in the creation. I loved the big, tall trees and the animals. My kids loved finally being able to run. We loved Muir Woods and really think Bigfoot has to live here. It just makes sense. The woods are protected and people need to leave at sunset. There is no better place for Bigfoot to live, except maybe Teton National Park.

Monterey

Second Stop, Monterey

Monterey was great. Ryan was in a conference all day so I got to take the kids out and about. We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The kids liked it okay. I really enjoyed it. I was amazed at all of the sea life and what the aquarium had. The kids favorite was the beach. The water was freezing and the outside temperature was only about 70 degrees but there was sun so it was all good. I am always amazed at how much my kids love the water and the sun. I have often thought we should live somewhere near the water even Northern California seems to be okay, as long as there is a beach we are good. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the sea lions all over the place. Monterey was fun.

Santa Cruz Boardwalk

First stop on our trip to Northern California was the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
Ryan and I had been there a few years earlier and thought our kids would love it. We were right. They loved it. Any place that is close to the water the kids are happiest, plus there were rides, food and games galore. We had a great time hanging out and enjoying our time on the Northern California beach.

Flying with the kids

The kids finally got to fly,at least Kate for the first time, Jack and Jay had flown before but couldn't remember since they were so little.
We surprised the kids with a trip to Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Francisco. After about 30 minutes of flying it got old and they were wondering if we were there yet.
I Love these pictures because they were so happy to be flying.

Kate's dance

Kate had such a great time taking dance from Miss Beverly. I am always amazed at how well she does at her dance recitals. She is improving so much and loving dance.

Kate's little dance class. The only girls I know are Kate and Keelie.

Keelie and Hadlie Goodman and Kate. They are so dang cute.
Ava Estes and Kate. I love that they are such great friends.

Grandma Chicken

After having a stroke on Mother's Day Great Grandma Vivian Pearce Adams passed away.
She was a great grandma and is greatly missed. My kids loved going over to her house to see the chickens, play at the playground, find Easter Eggs, and play upstairs (playing pool). We loved the lion cookie jar "get your hand out of my cookie jar" and getting a soda.
Grandma was loved by all and we are grateful for the knowledge of eternal families.
