Kate is five

Kate is Five!!!
Where does the time go? I love her so much and she has quite the personality. She is a little tease and loves to laugh. She loves her brothers and says she is going to marry Jack but not Jay "cause Jay is mean to me." But if Jay and Kate are in the right mood they will play forever and be happy.
A couple of fun stories that Kate has done recently. One day we were talking about what she wants to be when she grows up and she says she wants to be a cheerleader and a surfer. But with a very concerned voice and look on her face she says "can I do both?" Of course I tell her she can. I don't have the heart to tell her that we don't live near the ocean and surfing in the backyard pool is not quite the same. Plus every time we do go to the ocean she cries because the water is too cold. She really does love to dance and sing and really wants to be a cheerleader when she gets older. Maybe next year I will get her into soccer and see if she likes sports. I can only hope.
Another day Kate was taking a bath in my room as I was getting ready for church. I try to listen to church music of conference talks on Sunday as I'm getting ready. Well this Sunday I was listening to a conference talk by Elder Bednar. Kate asks "mom, which prophet is this?" I answer it's Elder Bednar. And I was done getting ready so I was turning off my phone when Kate says "mom, will you put on President Monson cause he's our prophet and I like listening to him." Of course I put on a talk and let her listen. How could I tell her no?
Also the other day we were talking about Kate with Jay and he says "Kate is really special." I told Kate how Jay had said this and she got the most confused look on her face and a very confused tone of voice and said "Jay said that?" She was as surprised as we were.
Kate is great and I love seeing her grow up and become this sweet little girl. I am really enjoying this age and know I need to hang onto her for a little longer because she will be in school next year.
Kate and Keelie getting their nails done. Kate and Keelie hang out about three times a week and would hang out everyday if they could. They are really fun to watch and listen to. They both have great imaginations and love to play pretend.
