Halloween was great this year. We got to celebrate it three times, four if you include the kids school parties. We have ridiculous amounts of candy, that I am eating way too much of, but it was a great time.
Wednesday my ward had a trunk or treat. It was so much fun. We have had some new move-ins so it was nice to meet them.
Saturday we went to my parents chili party, then to the Ricedorff's ward's party, then trick or treating in the neighborhood.
Sunday, the actual holiday, we were not going to go trick or treating but stay home and hand out candy. But my kids wanted to go to the haunted house, the house that is fully decked out for Halloween, and trick or treat. Since they give out full size candy bars we had to go. What was suppose to be a quick trip to one house ended up being an all out trick or treating fiesta. We drove down one street and everyone was outside so we had to stop and talk and of course the kids had to trick or treat. Then we had to go to Jay's teacher's house so more trick or treating. After all was said and done we had way too much candy and no time left to hand it out at home.
We had a great time. Jack- a skeleton rock star, Jay- Red Power Ranger, Kate- Cheerleader.
Your kids look great in their halloween costumes! Sounds like you had a fun week! We need to get together soon. You'll have to let us know of some dates that would work for you guys.
ReplyDeleteCute kids! I miss my parents chilly cook off, I would've liked to have seen everyone who went. We got way to much candy too and we only had one trick r treater!
